DRYING

E3Live uses a technologically advanced certified organic drying process called Refractance Window™ drying. Through our experience over the last 30 years, we have found that this particular process maintains a higher quality product over all other drying methods.

Refractance Window™ is a proprietary drying method that uses circulating water at atmospheric pressure to carry heat to the product to be dried. Moist product is applied to the upper surface of an infrared conveyer belt that floats on the surface of the circulating water. Whereas hot air or tunnel dryers require several hours, and freeze drying takes 12 to 72 hours, Refractance Window™ dryers require only 2 to 6 minutes to dry our AFA. 

Refractance Window drying has major advantages over tunnel drying, drum drying, and freeze drying, in that foods and pharmaceutical ingredients are exposed to much milder temperatures, and the final products maintain high levels of nutrients and other health qualities.
